Dancing Dronies In Top Ten Crowdfunding Campaigns Of The Week

Dancing Dronies: NexGen Drone Technology, a crowdfunding campaign by Drovionics.com went live on Indiegogo on September 21, 2014.  According to this week's Top Ten list released by Crowdocracy.org, Dancing Dronies picked up sixth spot amongst the most popular cross-platform crowdfunding campaigns. Crowdocracy uses a quantitative algorithm to measure the success of crowdfunding campaigns on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. Earning a spot in top ten in its very first crowdfunding week is a good omen for the drone developer.

Dronies are the world's first autonomous nano drones that air dance to music in synchronized formation. Dronies App can choreograph, record, playback and even share their moves in real time with social networks right from your smartphone. A dream of drone researchers and hobbyists that will soon be a reality.

Most importantly, the technology deployed in Dronies has game changing implications on the evolution of civilian drone avionics, and the Drovionics' product pipeline ensures that.

#CoolestCooler Tops #ThisWeek’s #TopTen & 2nd most #Funded @Kickstarter #Campaign

Coolest Cooler had been a top performer since it premiered on Kickstarter on July 8, 2014. This week it hits the top spot in Crowdocracy rankings. With $8.77 million already pledged, Coolest Cooler knocks out OUYA to become the 2nd most funded Kickstarter campaign ever.

With 13 more days to go reaching the $10.27 million record currently held by the Pebble watch, isn’t impossible. If Coolest Cooler builds up the required momentum for creating a new crowdfunding record is something to be
watched. Check us out next week to see how Coolest Cooler navigates the next few days.

JIBO Robot tops this week’s Crowdocracy Top Ten

In the last few days of its campaign, JIBO Robot finally reaches the top spot this week.

It edged out COOLEST Cooler campaign, which is still going strong on Kickstarter. With $8.4 million already in its kitty, and 20 more days to go COOLEST is heading to a new record of sorts.

JIBO scored over COOLEST mainly because of JIBO’s social media shares and video traffic.

Another odd and surprise entry into the top ten is the Fire Squadron card game campaign at number ten. Odd, because the campaign goal was only $5, and surprise, because at the time of writing it had already raised $1,296, a full 26,000% of its goal in its first 3 days.

Fire Squadron enters top ten entirely on the strength of the disproportionately large amount raised, despite virtually non-existent social media shares. It will be interesting to see how this card game performs in the remaining 27 days.

A Million In 3 Minutes

Last week we updated our list of top Five Fastest Crowfunded Million campaigns. It was widely reported CrowdCube raised £1.2 million in a crowdfunding campaign hosted on their own website. CrowdCube’s campaign goal was reached in just 16 minutes, setting a new world record. CrowdCube, therefore, topped our list of Fastest Crowdfunded Million.

However, subsequently in a Tweet CrowdCube clarified that $1 million was actually reached in just 3 minutes.

Our list of the Five Fastest Crowdfunded Million Campaigns, therefore stands corrected:

Wonder a million in 3 minute is a world record that can ever be beat? Well, in crowdocracy anything is possible!!!
